“We all loved our week at Kalisi and just wished it could have been longer. It’s such a gorgeous quiet spot with so much room upstairs and downstairs, inside and out for guests of all ages to really spread out and relax and enjoy themselves. Patrick and team produced exceptional meals for adults and children alike and coped so well with five hungry youngsters and their post-sailing appetites. We enjoyed beachcombing and exploring along the creek and watching all the passing dhows and fishing boats from the lovely terrace above the ocean – it’s a fabulous spot for sundowners and moonrises too. Thank you for such a happy and memorable holiday.”

“What an amazing stay! Being locked down here was one of the most magical experiences for all of us – swimming and snorkelling in the creek every day, yummy food and this beautiful house! Asante Sana – we hope to come back soon!”

“Just the best stay ever! A fabulous house, amazing team, wonderful views, gorgeous creek and the best hidden coral reef treasure right out in front. A healing, healthy, special and fun time. Thank you all so much.”

“We had such a fantastic time at Kalisi. The house is so beautiful and perfect for a group of friends as it has lots of different spaces to hang out in. We especially loved the top floor balcony. It’s hard to believe we were the first commercial guests because everything ran so smoothly. Everything we needed was catered for, the food was amazing and especially impressive because we had two vegetarians who don’t eat fish and Patrick really put a lot of thought into their meals. We will definitely recommend it to our friends.”

kilifi Creek

kilifi Creek

Kilifi attracts ocean sailors and the creek offers a fabulous deep-water yacht anchorage and is ideal for boating and windsurfing. Larger boats can be hired from the Boatyard about a mile up the creek on the south shore, where there is a pleasant bar and restaurant. Other recommended places to eat are Nautilus on the north shore of the creek and The Food Movement in Kilifi Plantation. Salty’s Kite Surfing on Bofa Beach to the north of the town also has a beach bar and cafe.

Vipingo Ridge Golf Course

Vipingo Ridge Golf Course

Mombasa, Malindi, the ancient ruins at Gedi and the Arabuko Sokoke Forest – all make interesting day trips from Kilifi and all are within about an hour’s drive of the house. There is an excellent golf course at the Vipingo Ridge development about 30 minutes away – the course has been designed and built to the exacting USGA standard and is of international class. It has a spectacular setting, at the top of the ridge overlooking the Indian Ocean.

By Road
Kilifi is about one hour’s drive from Mombasa to the south and a little less from Malindi to the north. Kalisi House is situated on the southern shore of Kilifi Creek, just a short distance from the town and main coastal road.

By Air
