“Enasoit’s strength lies in the fact that it’s a real home. Created by a Norwegian family in love with Africa, it has six canvas and stone rooms with roaring log fires and hot water bottles popped between the sheets on chilly nights. Wake up to spectacular views across the plains to a water hole where elephant, gazelle, zebra and wild dogs gather as they travel the game trails that pass through camp. Days can be as adventure-packed as you like – there are game drives where you won’t see another vehicle, a resident pride of lions that can be tracked, long lunches with binoculars at the ready or the option of an open-air massage. Unusually for a safari camp, guests can do anything whenever they want because Enasoit feels like it’s your own.”

Condé Nast Traveller

“If your notion of happiness is to do nothing more than loll in comfort, contemplating the animals as they come down to the watering hole to drink, Enasoit is a lovely place to do just that. A ranch bordered by the Lolldaiga Hills not far from Mount Kenya, it can take up to 16 guests in double or twin tent-cottages and has a mess tent and pool house too. The camp sits within a natural game-rich corridor and in our first 24 hours we tracked down a pride of seven or eight lions and a pack of fourteen wild dogs, and these were quite apart from the family groups of elephant wandering over the ranch and the continuous parade of zebras, buffalo, Grants gazelle and giraffe.”

Financial Times

“A wonderful and unique lodge with five star food and, most importantly, incredible safari experiences! Very small and unique with incredible staff and set in an wonderfully exotic Kenyan environment. There is a water hole set right next to the main living area – you can relax and dine with the animals just a few feet away.”

Enasoit is located in southern Laikipia around 25 kilometres / 15 miles from Nanyuki and bordering the beautiful Lolldaiga Hills. Laikipia is a rich and diverse natural treasure, boasting some of Africa’s most extraordinary and endangered wildlife and vast, pristine wilderness areas. The Camp and 4500-acre private wildlife reserve sits within a natural wildlife corridor. Guests can explore the reserve on horseback, on foot or by vehicle, or simply watch the wildlife wander past from their veranda – enjoying both the tranquility and thrill of a safari without seeing any other visitors.

Enasoit is a 4-hour drive from Nairobi via Nanyuki. It has its own airstrip (a 5-minute drive from camp) where private charter flights can land, and there are daily scheduled flights to and from Nanyuki (1-hour’s drive from camp) on Safarilink and Air Kenya.
